Brianna Clarke-Schwelm
Executive Director
Brianna (she/her) comes to the North Carolina Global Health Alliance with thirteen years of non-profit experience in both global health and domestic public health. She began her career working in health clinics in rural Kenya, Honduras, and Panama, before moving to New York City, where she served as a fundraiser for The Hunger Project, an international NGO committed to ending global hunger and poverty through community-led, integrated approaches. Brianna moved to North Carolina five years ago to work at the NCDHHS' Office of Rural Health. She most recently served as the Director of Data, Grants and Community Engagement at InterAct, a Raleigh-based domestic and sexual violence service agency. Brianna has her MPH in Global Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a BA in Religious Studies from Bucknell University. She spends most of her "free" time with her three young children and husband, and when she has a spare moment, she enjoys creative writing, going for long walks with her dog, and baking.
